形态与组分 线形。750×13～15纳米。核酸为RNA，含量6～7%。

生物学特性 系统感染大豆(Glycine max)、菜豆(Phaseolus vulgaris)的“Doppelte”，“Hollandische”，“Prinze β”，“金时”等品种、紫云英(Astragalus sinicus)、一种菜豆(Phaseolus nigricans)等，均引起花叶；毛槐篮(Indigofera hirsuta)、欧洲百脉根(Lotus tetragonolobus)等为隐症。局部感染决明子(Cassia tora)、菜豆的“Topcrop”品种，在高温下产生局部坏死斑。种传率达0．2～56%(因不同寄主而异)，介体桃蚜(Myzus persicae)、豆蚜(Aphis craccivora)、棉蚜(A．gossypii)等。致死温度64～66℃，稀释终点10^－3～10^－5，体外保毒期3～4天。它与Bean common mosaic virus有血清学关系。根据不同品种大豆感病后的症状区分毒株。

分类 马铃薯Y病毒群(Potyvirus)。
