各随其便

各随其便gè suí qí biàn

each does exactly as he pleases
❍ 众客散坐，或凭栏看水，或啜茗闲谈，或据案观书，或箕踞自适，～。(《儒林外史》387) The visitors sat where they pleased or leaned over the balcony to watch the water,sipping tea as they chatted,leafing through the books on the tables,or sitting at ease enjoying themselves-each did exactly as he liked.
