one’s might (/majesty) shakes (/is felt throughout) the four seas; be known far and wide for one’s military prowess;inspire awe throughout the country; hold the whole land in awe
❍ 及至始皇，奋六世之余烈，振长策而御宇内，吞二周而亡诸侯，履至尊而制六合，执敲朴以报答天下，～。(《史记·陈陟世家》) After this came the First Emperor who,carrying on the glorious spirit of his six predecessors,cracked his long whip and drove the universe before him,swallowed up the eastern and western Zhou,and overthrew the feudal lords. He ascended the throne of honor and the six directions scourging the world with his rod,and his might shook the four seas.

【上】威：威势，威名。四海：天下。威名震动天下。
◆ 也作“威震天下”。《资治通鉴·汉献帝建安十三年》：“今操芟夷大难，略已平矣。遂破荆州，威震四海。”
【下】冠：居首位。三军：古时分中、上、下三军或中、左、右三军，这里指全军。作战勇猛为全军之首。
◆也作“勇贯三军”。刘白羽《大海———记朱德同志》：“说明朱德同志一身是胆，有勇冠三军的指挥员的雄伟神魄。”
【综】威名震动天下，勇猛冠领全军。
