聪明一世，糊涂一时

有时含讽刺意味，多指自恃一贯聪明的人，做出了糊涂事。或谓一阵聪明，一阵糊涂。老舍《骆驼祥子》十四：“六十九岁的人了，反倒聪明一世，糊涂一时，教一群猴儿王八蛋给吃了！老头子越想越气。”姚雪垠《李自成》第三卷·第三十九章：“原来我们两个私下说，闯王聪明一世，糊涂一时，听了老宋的主意，将好端端一双姻缘拆散，硬将慧梅嫁给袁时中，说不定会是赔了夫人又折兵，吃不完的后悔药。”

惯指明白人一时糊涂做错了事。也指人一向聪明，脑子却一时转不过弯来。老舍《方珍珠》一幕：“方太太：……人家急了，要揍他，他会去给人家跪下磕头，就是不放手珍珠！珍珠不是他的养女，倒仿佛是他的亲娘！孟小樵：聪明一世，糊涂一时，张天师叫鬼给迷住了！”
