1.one who tells about another’s private affairs; any-thing revealing or betraying a person’s thoughts,con-ducts,etc. 搬弄是非者；暴露人思想言行的闲话，飞短流长之言。
△2H. IV. 4. 1. 201 (199):“And therefore will he wipehis tables clean / And keep no tell-tale to his memo-ry”，所以他要把他的石板擦得干干净净，不在他的记忆中留下任何飞短流长之言。
