(Gr. myth.) ,son ofApollo. the sun-god,who,when he tried to drive his father’s golden chariot acrossthe sky. was thrown from it andkilled with a thunderbolt byZeus. Hence a symbol of over-reaching pride. （希腊神话）法厄同，太阳神阿波罗的儿子，曾驾其父的金马车在天上驰骋，失去控制，被宙斯用雷击死。因此用作狂妄的象征。
