cloud云

由微小水滴、冰晶或两者混合组成，悬浮于空中——即水汽凝结物。低云与地面相连称雾。含水汽的空气块上升时，气压愈来愈低，空气块出现膨胀、绝热冷却，至零点以下，水汽达到饱和。水汽过饱和则凝结成微粒，继而形成水滴，当1立方厘米空气里出现上百个水滴，则形成云。云按其高度可分为一.高云(平均高度5～13公里):1.卷云，2.卷积云，3.卷层云；二.中云(平均高度2～7公里):1.高积云，2.高层云，3.雨层云；三.低云(平均高度0～2公里):1.层积云，2.层云，3.积云，4.积雨云。这一分类的高度适用于中纬度地区，在极地每种云的高度要低些，在热带则高些。
