形态与组分 线状颗粒，600×12纳米，螺距3．8纳米，沉降系数(S_20，w)96S，电泳迁移率－5．1×10^－5厘米²／秒·伏，A260／A2801．18(Saksena，1969)，1．55～1．85(Lister 1971)。核酸为单链RNA。

生物学特性 感染8科如苋科(Amaranthaceae)、藜科(Chenopodiaceae)、葫芦科(Cucurbitaceae)、豆科(Leguminosae)等15种双子叶植物。诊断寄主：俄国苹果(Malus sylvestris)R12740－74品种，幼叶污斑，畸形，矮化：茴藜(Chenopodium quinoa)和苋色藜(C．amaranticolor)，蚀纹和坏死斑；菜豆(Phaseolus vulgaris)Pinto等品种和眉豆(Vigna cylindrica)，坏死斑或环。繁殖寄主为茴藜。测定寄主为茴藜及菜豆。汁液传播。在汁液中，致死温度52～55℃，稀释终点10^－4，体外保毒期20℃下1天或4℃下10天。病毒免疫原性中等，有不同的分离株如R aspberry bushy dwarf virus，但它们之间无血清学差别。用热疗法可以脱毒。
