【典型错误】：

※That old bed has been kicked about the house for years．

※He kicked the treatment he was receiving

※The drunken man was kicked off the bar

【说明】：

1．当kick about［around］表示“到处漫游”、“被随意放置”、“被闲置”时，没有被动语态。

例如：

That old bed has been kicking about the house for years．那个旧床闲置在屋里已经多年了。

My shirt is kicking around on the floor somewhere．我的衬衣在地板上的什么地方。

He’s been kicking about Africa for ten years．10年来，他一直在非洲漫游。

2．表示“反对”、“抗议”、“发牢骚”时，应用短语kick at［against］。

例如：

He kicked at［against］the treatment he was receiving．他对他所受到的待遇竭力抗议。

She seems to be always kicking at something．看来她老是抱怨这抱怨那。

3．表示“逐出”、“开除”、“解雇”时，要用短语kick out，其中的out不能换为off。例如：

The drunken man was kicked out of the bar．那醉鬼被赶出了酒吧。

They kicked him out for fighting．他因为斗殴被开除。
