And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, 1 will destroy them with the earth.

Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark. and shalt pilch it within and without with pitch.

And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shalt be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.

A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.

Gen. 6: 13-16

神就对挪亚说：“凡有血气的人，他的尽头已经来到我的面前，因为地上满了他们的强暴，我要把他们和地一并毁灭。

你要用歌斐木造一只方舟，分一间一间的造，里外抹上松香。

方舟的造法乃是这样：要长三百肘，宽五十肘，高三十肘。

方舟上边要留透光处，高一肘。方舟的门要开在旁边。

方舟要分上中下三层。”
