【名句】天低吴楚，眼空无物

[注释与译文]吴楚，泛指长江中下游一带。这两句写登上石头城头所见所感：眺望南方的天空，只觉得低沉沉的；天空间空荡荡的，什么也看不见。由于历代统治者争夺政权的战争，昔日繁华的石头城变得一片萧条冷落，因而作者怀古伤今，写下了这苍凉沉郁的诗句。
