跑了和尚，跑不了庙pǎo le héshɑng,pǎobuliǎo miào

指人跑了，家产和家庭成员带不走。多指人能躲了一时，不能永远躲着不回家。
【例】他一家子在这儿，他的房子地在这儿，他跑？跑了和尚，跑不了庙。他的家还在任大庄哩，还怕抓不住他！(周立波《暴风骤雨》)
也作〔躲得和尚躲不得寺〕。
【例】你不要慌，“躲得和尚躲不得寺”，我自然有个料理。(《儒林外史》)

跑了和尚，跑不了庙pǎo le hé shàng , pǎo bù le miào

a runaway monk can’t take the monastery with him;the monk may run away,but the temple remains; a fugitive must belong to some place that can provide clues
