攻其不备，出其不意gōng qí bù bèi,chū qí bù yì

attack before the enemy is prepared,and do what he does not expect; strike where (/when) the enemy is unprepared; take sb by surprise; catch sb unawares
❍ 兵法云： ‘～。’ (《三国演义》813) What does the book say? ‘Attack before the enemy is prepared; do what he does not expect.’/“莫若以兵先据其内： 所谓 ‘～’ 也。”(《三国演义》138)Our best plan is to seize this place,thus “attacking where the enemy is unprepared,and doing what they do not expect”.
