成语：舍本逐末。比喻抓住了小事，注意了次要的方面，却漏掉了大事，忽略了主要的方面。吴南星《三家村札记·谈读书》： “首先是方法问题，用老话说，有两种不同的方法，一种是寻章摘句式的，读得很细心，钻研每一段，以至每一句，甚至为了一个字，有的经师写了多少万字的研究论文。其缺点是见树木不见森林，拣了芝麻绿豆却丢了西瓜，对所读的书的主要观点、思想却忽略了。”刘彦林《东风浩荡》：“要时时想到大局，不能拣了芝麻，丢了西瓜。”
