下不了台

比喻无法摆脱尴尬窘迫的处境。
也作“下不得台来”。

本指无法从戏台上下来，转指无法摆脱困难窘迫的处境。

下不了台xià bu liǎo tái

同[下不来台]。如：你们又请我吃，又请我穿，我～。

下不了台xià·bu liǎo tái

比喻不能摆脱或改变原有的处境：若说外头好看，里头空虚，是我早知道的了，只是“居移气，养移体”，一时～就是了。(一○七·1356)
